All FordSelect vehicles come with the reassurance of a 3rd party 'seal of approval' from the AA, Ireland’s leading motoring experts. This means that, unlike some other used car programmes in Ireland, FordSelect is independently audited.

All vehicles must meet the requirements of the AA Autocheck 101 Checklist, which ensures all key aspects are assessed before the vehicle is accepted into the FordSelect programme. The AA Autocheck covers areas including:

  • Bodywork
  • Steering/suspension
  • Lighting
  • Under-vehicle check
  • Seatbelts/airbags

  • Brakes
  • Under-bonnet
  • Wheels/tyres
  • Interior
  • Road test


AA auditors check 100% of all FordSelect vehicle paperwork, and carry out physical checks on a selection of prepared vehicles every eight weeks.

FordSelect vehicles also come with AA Rescue Cover so you know that, in the unlikely event of a breakdown, the AA will be there to assist – no matter how small the problem. The AA's policy of 'Go, not Tow' means that 80% of breakdowns are repaired at the roadside.
